Technology Curriculum Objectives:
The goal of the technology curriculum at St. Christopher's school is to reinforce classroom learning. There is a close alignment between classroom subjects and the lessons learned in the computer room. In third grade, students learn about online safety & research, word processing techniques, create presentations, etc. Towards the end of the third grade, children begin keyboarding practice.
In addition, third graders have the opportunity to practice critical thinking skills and to program a robot.
Students receive a grade for computer class on their report cards.
May - June
I hope you enjoyed seeing their 3D printed item they brought home last month! They are working on a PowerPoint presentation about a fun place to visit in New Hampshire, so don't be surprised if they come home asking to spend time this summer at Storyland, Lost River, etc! They are also making a creative card for Mothers/Fathers Day which gives them practice using their text editing skills.
